It was so great meeting back up with Kay Lynn and her two beautiful boys. The last time I saw her, we were taking maternity pictures of her first so I was so excited to see how grown up little Bowen was. The proud older brother, you can tell how much he loves his new playmate. And so do I! I have to say that sweet Keaton was one of the easiest newborns I have ever worked with. He couldn't have been more laid back, which makes my job super easy! Kay Lynn, thank you for inviting me back to your home to capture this fleeting moment of newborn preciousness :)

The Greener Family

When my friend Becca called me up and asked me to take pictures of her family at Thanksgiving I was honored that she asked me! This is a family with impeccable style and taste so I took her request as a compliment :) We met at their beautiful lake house at the Reynolds Landing Community on Lake Oconee on a gorgeous Fall day. Madison Jinks Senior Pictures

It was so fun hanging out with Madison and her mom, Becky, at her senior shoot. After spending just a few minutes with Madison, I could tell tell this girl has got it together. She started out a little shy but by the end of the shoot, we might as well have been shooting covers for Vogue! We had fun strolling around Smyrna Market Village and Madison strutted her stuff on the train tracks as the cars all honked their applause. Madison, good luck with your college decision and I hope you enjoy every minute of your senior year!

Katherine + Nicholas

The day Katherine and Nicholas tied the knot couldn't have been a more beautiful, perfect day. You could feel the excitement in the air, mingled with the colorful fall leaves. Katherine and Nicholas infused their southern charm into every detail of the day, from cowboy boots and cotton down to the turkey feathers incorporated into the flowers. As the big moment approached, both the bride and groom were perfectly at ease... they had been waiting a long time for this day to come! Their happiness filled the ballroom of the Emory Conference Center as the southern throw-down began. Immediately I could see that both sides of this family knew how to party! A big Thank You to my assistant, Glen Wilson, who was there to help me capture every fun-filled minute!

Katherine and Nicholas, thank you for inviting me to share such a special day with you and your families. It was an honor to witness the absolute joy you have found in each other. Enjoy married life!

The Junker Family

It was another one of the beautiful Fall days we've been having when I met up with the Junkers. Julian was a little sleepy at first but it didn't take long before he came alive, showing me all his favorite things to do around the house. I mean seriously- have you ever seen such gorgeous blue eyes?! By the end of our shoot we were definitely buds and I was even lucky enough to get a big hug before I left. Precious!! Thank you guys for inviting me over to capture life before your new baby girl!

The Haas Family 2011

Every year I am so excited to meet back up with the Haas family. I've had the pleasure of working with them for the last three years. This year's Christmas card will feature a new member of the family- little William! He is quite a lucky guy with a big sister and two big brothers looking out for him. The Brezinas 2011

I always love meeting back up with the Brezinas- I officially vote this family "best dressed!" Patti has such an eye for color and textures and their photos are always perfectly color- coordinated (but not too matchy-matchy). She even convinced her son to wear jeans with gingham cuffs at the bottom! That takes some skills :) This family is full of spunk and always makes me smile. The Beland Family

I truly enjoyed meeting the Belands and their beautiful little daughter Paige. She was one tough cookie, with the weather being a little chillier than we were hoping for. It didn't take much for her eyes to light up and show me that big smile of hers. It is clear how much she loves mommy and daddy! We had fun walking around the park and yelling out duck and goose sounds as we challenged them to come closer.

Allow me to introduce you to the wide eyes and rosy cheeks of sweet little Ryan Talyor. This little guy was the closest thing I've seen to the Gerber baby in person. Too cute! Although definitely a little weary of this new stranger at first, Ryan warmed up to me eventually and showed us that adorable smile of his. He is clearly smitten with mom and dad, as his face lit up every time they got close. It was great to meet the Taylor family and their precious baby boy... with those legs he is a future athlete for sure!

William Haas has arrived!

Precious little William was the sleepiest, snuggliest baby I've shot yet! No matter how many times I tried to reposition him and move him into all my different poses, he just grunted once or twice and assumed the fetal position. He looked so comfortable in dreamland, I wanted to crawl under the blanket with him! Haas Family, Congratulations on your perfect new addition. I know he will be well taken care of by his big sis Reilly!

Thorp Family

March 12 was one of those early spring days that gets you so excited for summer. I was so glad to spend it with the Thorps, especially cute little Leighton. As I mentioned in my last post I love getting to re-visit with old clients and that's why I love my schedule this fall. I've had a string of sessions with some of my very first clients and the Weeks family is one of my favorites! I first met Grace when she was 2 years old and she warmed up to me as we chased each other around the Marietta Square. Now she is a proud big sister and a very mature 5 years old. Little Katherine couldn't even sit up when I first met her and now I can barely catch up to those bouncing blond curls! Julie and Travis- I always have fun with you guys- thanks for continuing to invite me into your lives. I've truly enjoyed watching the girls grow up. Enjoy!!

The Godwin Family

One of the coolest parts about being a photographer is getting to watch families grow and change over the years. I took pictures of Cooper when he was only 6 months old and now he has a baby brother that age! Landon is the cutest little chubby cheeked munchkin with a permanent smile on his face. And big brother Cooper was on his best behavior (I don't know what Daddy was complaining about!) As you can see this family is super cute and photogenic. It was great to see you guys!

Wilson Family

It's been almost two years since my first session with the Wilson Family, and a lot's changed since then! Particularly the addition of sweet miss Lily Marie. Lily is only 8 months old and you can already feel her southern charm in the way she looks at you with those big eyes and long eyelashes. She definitely has a lot of her momma in her. Luke, on the other hand is a boy in every sense of the word. From swinging in his swing, to chasing me around, to canon-balling into dad's lap, he didn't stop for a minute (what I wouldn't do for his energy!). Lucky for me, I got to see his softer side too when he gave me a big hug before I left. Too cute!

Tyler Hedges Senior Pictures

I was a little caught off guard when I first got Meredith's email about taking senior pictures for her son, Tyler. Surely this was not the same Tyler that lived across the street from me in my old neighborhood. Not the Tyler I used to babysit for and play Bionicles with.... could he really be a senior already!? Yup. Well I have to say it was so fun to reunite with my old neighbors and hear all about Tyler's accomplishments since I last saw them. This guy is quite the stud- captain of the North Gwinnett football team, and graduating 10th in a huge class of something like 800 students. Good luck this year Tyler! I know you are going to do great things with your life.

Peyton Maynard

It was so fun to finally meet little miss Peyton. I felt pretty special as I walked up to the house and was greeted with a wide-eyed, ear to ear smile. My favorite part of the day was when we were singing the ABCs, trying to get Peyton to dance. After a few futile attempts, mommy turned up some Katie Perry and Peyton immediately lit up! Who knew the ABCs were soooo last year!

Ed's 40th Surprise Party

This family shoot was the closest I've ever had to travel- right next door! Although we are neighbors I barely get to see Ted and Stacey and their adorable little girl, Sadie. It was fun spending time with them just playing around the house and I think Sadie was glad to have a new friend- Miss Gianna :) Their newest addition to the family should be joining them any day now. I first met Lindsay at a Madonna concert so I immediately knew I was in for a good time when she booked me for her wedding!
